Harley Davidson Made in India Cruiser to Come in 2014
Harley Davidson is developing a entry level cruiser for India.Currently all the models available in India are the Global products which are very famous among hard core bikers.But Harley Davidson want more volumes.In 2011 Harley Davidson started the CKD operations in India which reduce the price of the bike.After USA this is the second assembly Plant for Harley Davidson.First was in Brazil.
Harley Davidson officials from USA and India already started talks with so many Indian vendors to make a manufacturing plant in India.New Cruiser bike is powered by V twin 400 to 500 cc engine.This bike will be heavily Localized to keep the cost down.Also this cruiser bike will be specific for India.Harley Davidson will unveil the new bike on 2014 Auto Expo.New Cruiser will be priced around 3.5 Lakhs – 4.0 Lakhs.New Cruiser fight against New KTM duke 390 and Upcoming Honda CBR 500 family.
