RENAULT LAGUNA ROAD TEST REPORT
The Renault Laguna is absent from the market for a new car in Australia since 1996, but now it is back with a new distributor and new models. Renault Australia (as part of the Nissan/Renault alliance) was launched here in June 2001, which belonged to the Clio scenic pikateline, 2WD and 4WD wagons and the Megane Cabriolet. Now the frustrating delays after the Laguna and Laguna sedan Limousine has arrived. The Laguna saloon (read the sedan, though because the rear hatch!), comes in three equipment levels. They are the Authentique, for the honor and privilege to LX. Laguna estates (read carriages) are available in Authentique and privilege.
Currently, all Australia-bound Lagunas has a 3.0 liter V6 engine, mated to a five-speed "tiptronic-style"-automatic transmission. Later, mature four cylinder model. Prices begin at $ 46,990 V6 saloons for Laguna Authentique, who have the right to pay $ 51,990, and the privilege of the LX, to $ 57,990. Add $ 4,000 Authentique and privileged estates.
Equipment levels are generous, all Lagunas featuring a dual front and front side airbags, curtain airbags, ABS brakes, EBD and brake assist, electronic stability program, traction control, climate control air conditioning, electric Windows (front) and mirrors, remote locking, cruise control, alloy wheels, tires (4), computer and single CD player. Privilege models, Xenon headlights, power-adjustable front seats, six-stack CD player, leather and velour upholstery, fog lights, rain sensor wipers, rear window sunshades and more storage space.
